Class cost: $50
Upon completion of the class, certificates will be issued to each student for three continuing education credits. Pre-registration is required.
Learn how to fuse two types of Asian bodywork -- Acupressure and Thai massage -- into your practice.
Class will begin with centering methods to help you work with more awareness of body mechanics. You will then learn vital acupressure points and how to apply them effectively.
Gail will guide you through traditional Shiatsu and Thai techniques using fingers, palms, forearms, elbows and feet. You will also be taught beneficial stretching and joint mobilization, which are essential components of Eastern modalities. This continuing education course will focus on how to integrate these bodywork techniques into a basic sequence designed to relieve tension and pain of the shoulders.
This class is brought to you by the Breathe Continuing Education Program, which offers courses every other month for our community. If you are interested in attending our classes and/or teaching a class, please contact Shelby at 360-604-1226.
