Pre-registration is required. Class cost: $65, early bird price $60 if signed up before Sep 15. Upon completion of the class, certificates will be issued to each student for four continuing education credits.
If you want to delve into the valuable healing skills that the Eastern world has utilized for centuries, this is the course for you. Focus will be placed on vital acupressure points throughout the body, and you will learn how to channel positive energy and allow it to flow to your clients. Increasing your knowledge of Eastern philosophy and techniques will enhance your ability to perform manual therapy with accuracy and focus.
Loose, comfortable clothing is essential as this class will begin with a few energizing exercises and yoga postures. Many range-of-motion techniques will also be practiced and more easily performed with appropriate attire.
About the instructor:
Gail has been a licensed massage therapist for over 12 years and experienced a two-year apprenticeship while she lived in Japan. She has advanced training in Thai massage and is a registered yoga teacher. Being both an experienced massage therapist and yoga instructor has given her a deeper insight to healing techniques and body mechanics. Gail is happy to share her therapeutic methods with others.
